The Heart of the Christmas Tree
The Heart of the Christmas Tree
The Heart of the Christmas Tree weaves together stories of farm owners from the mountains and H-2A workers from Mexico, intertwining themes of family, community, and the mountain landscape. Viewers follow a year on the life of a Christmas tree farm and witness the challenges and rewards that owners and workers experience. The devastation caused by Hurricane Helene and the threat of racial profiling from federal immigration agents are tempered by family celebrations. This film reveals the hopes and dreams of the people who provide our Christmas trees, as well as the challenges that threaten their future
