Post in Black
Post in Black
Post in Black is a podcast and community platform that amplifies the voices of Black post-production professionals through interviews, live events, and educational programming, addressing the lack of visibility and representation in the post-production industry. The project celebrates excellence while creating pathways for emerging and underrepresented talent.
Post in Black is an ongoing podcast and community platform dedicated to celebrating and amplifying the work of Black post-production professionals across film, television, and digital media. Through recorded interviews, live events, panels, and community partnerships, the project highlights the creative contributions of editors, sound designers, composers, and other post-production artists whose work is often overlooked despite its central role in storytelling. In addition to elevating established professionals, Post in Black creates access points for emerging and early-career creatives by sharing career pathways, industry knowledge, and mentorship-driven conversations. With a growing national audience and partnerships with organizations such as Dolby Institute, Avid, Dr. Self Tape, and Black Girls Film Camp, the project serves as both an archive of Black excellence and a resource for building a more inclusive and equitable post-production industry.
